Our Conduct Process

    Report Received

The Office of Student Accountability & Support receives reports from multiple offices, including University of Missouri Police Department and University Housing. Members of the community may also submit reports of misconduct through the incident report form.

If it is alleged that a student has violated university policy we will send a student a notice letter, detailing how to schedule a meeting with our office to discuss the allegation. Failure to resolve the matter with our office after we send the notice letter, could result in a registration hold preventing enrollment.

    Meeting With Us

Schedule a meeting with us via MU Connect.

    • Click on the scheduling link in the notice letter sent to a student’s MU student email.
    • Once a student schedule their meeting, they will receive a confirmation email.

    Attend meeting with us.

    • This meeting will allow a student the opportunity to present information regarding this incident and will allow us to assess a student’s compliance with the university’s standard of conduct.
    • A student may bring a person with a student to advise a student through the process; if a student chooses, this could be an attorney.

If a student doesn’t schedule a meeting within five business days of receiving the letter, we will make a decision without a student’s input. In addition, a hold may be placed on a student’s account preventing all registration functions.

    • A student will be charged a judicial processing fee of $125, which helps to offset costs associated with the handling of student conduct cases without penalizing students who do not come into contact with Student Accountability & Support.
