Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I attend Sibs & Kids Day with my child? Sibs & Kids Day is designed for Mizzou students to enjoy quality one-on-one time with their siblings, cousins, or children. We understand that every family is unique, so parents/guardians are welcome to join if they wish. To attend alongside the Mizzou student and their guest, parents/guardians must register and pay as an additional guest. Parent/guardian registration includes access to meals and activities throughout the day.
  • My Mizzou student can only participate in some of the Sibling Saturday activities. Can their sibling still participate? The Mizzou student must always accompany the non-student participant during all Sibs & Kids Day activities. Unaccompanied guests are not allowed at Sibs & Kids Day activities, the residence halls or MizzouRec.
  • Are overnight accommodations part of Sibs & Kids Day? No. Sibs & Kids Day is a one-day program that typically ends in the early evening (see the schedule for details). Parents/family members typically come to Columbia with their younger children, who stay in the hotel room with their family members. Guests are permitted to visit the Res Halls during daytime hours, but there are no overnight minor guests allowed. Please visit MU Housing’s Policies and Procedures for more information.
  • Will my child need spending money? It depends. All meal and activity costs listed on the schedule are covered by the registration fee. Your child will only need extra spending money if they and their sibling decide to exceed the meals or activities provided.
