In Case of Emergency

If there is a possibility that a student may harm themselves or others, dial 911 immediately. In the event of an emergency, do not use these forms.

Call MU Police Department immediately by dialing 911 or 573-882-7201.

Non-Emergency Crime or Suspicious Activity

Non-emergency crime or suspicious activity can be reported to the MUPD by calling  573-882-7201 or anonymously through  Silent Witness.

Non-Emergency Safety Concerns

If you see or know of an MU student whose behavior is distressing, disruptive or potentially harmful, please report your concern to the Student At Risk Committee, which will assess and respond to the concern. If you have questions about filing a report, please call the Dean of Students office at 573-882-5397.

Mental Health Crisis or Consultation Needs

Call 573-882-6601 24/7 to speak to an on-call clinician about crisis support and urgent concerns. This is available to anyone concerned about a Mizzou student. If after business hours, press "0" to be connected to an on-call clinician.

Discrimination, Harassment or Retaliation

Mizzou prohibits discrimination and/or harassment on the basis of veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable state or federal law. Mizzou policy includes prohibitions against sexual violence and sexual harassment (as forms of sex discrimination) in accordance with Title IX and 34 CFR Part 106. Mizzou policy further prohibits retaliation against any person who participates in protected activity, including making a report or complaint of discrimination.

If you experience or become aware of an incident of discrimination, harassment or retaliation, file a civil rights/title IX report through the Office of Institutional Equity. Reporting may be done via email, phone at  573-882-3880 or online.

Interpersonal/Relationship Violence

Mizzou does not tolerate sex-based violence, including sexual assault, sexual exploitation, domestic or dating/intimate partner violence, stalking.  If you have experienced sex-based violence, learn about your rights and options for care, support and reporting.

  • If you are in immediate danger, please call 911.
  • If you need immediate assistance related to sex-based violence, call the 24/7 Crisis Hotline 800-548-2480 at True North Shelter.
  • If you are experiencing or become aware of an incident of sex-based violence, file a civil rights/title IX report through the Office of Institutional Equity. Reporting may be done via email, phone at 573-882-3880 or online.

Behavioral Misconduct

Have you witnessed a student or student organization violating the university’s Standard of Conduct, including alcohol and drug violations, disruptive conduct, vandalism, and/or hazing?

Hazing

Hazing violates university policy, state law and recognized student organization policies. You can make a confidential report through the Office of Student Accountability & Support or report anonymously by calling the UM system Compliance hotline 844-469-6383.

Non-Emergency Student Concerns

Do you know a student who needs additional support in overcoming life challenges?  Family emergencies, financial hardship, returning to campus after hospitalization, housing or food insecurities—these are just a few difficulties with which the Care Team can assist by connecting students with resources and helping them navigate university systems and policies. Students can schedule a Care appointment using MU Connect or by calling 573-882-5543.

Academic Dishonesty

Instructors are required by the faculty bylaws to report to the Office of Academic Integrity any suspected acts of academic dishonesty by students. Students should report any suspected acts of academic dishonesty to the instructor as soon as possible. The instructor will determine whether to submit a report. Instructors, submit a report.
